À méditer cette semaine

“La vie est un sommeil, l’amour en est le rêve, Et vous aurez vécu, si vous avez aimé.” — Alfred de Musset
"Life is a sleep, love is a dream, And you will have lived, if you have loved."

La Chanson à savourer

Le Poème de la semaine

Jean de La Fontaine – Éloge de l’Amour
Most know La Fontaine for his Fables, but he was also a master of tender, classical lyricism. This ode to love speaks with simplicity and power about the supremacy of l’amour, above pleasures, riches, even the gods themselves.
The language may be formal, but the sentiment is timeless. Love is essential, everything else… is secondary.

Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841/1919) – Les Amoureux (The Lovers), 1875
